This breakout session is for Non-Spanish speakers who have Spanish speakers in their classroom, school, or district. This interactive presentation will provide some simulations that will allow the participant to feel like an English learners while providing some tips on how to recreate these and other activities for other educators. The presentation will also provide strategies through best practice instruction such as literacy Squared, GLAD, and TPR how to use English to understand some Spanish. The goal is that participants leave with information, strategies, and a basic understanding of the Spanish language. Each participant will leave with some hard copy activities as well as access to many digital resources.
